Every
road in the Napa region is scenic but to see the most of Napa in a direct shot,
you can drive along Highway 29, the main road that takes you through charming
towns and right by some of the area’s most famous wineries and restaurants.
Along this road, you’ll pass through Calistoga, Saint Helena, Routherford,
Yountville, and Napa. If you have more time, another even more scenic and
longer route to take is to cross the Golden Gate Bridge on Highway 101 from San
Francisco, drive through Sonoma via Highways 37 to Trinity Road, across Trinity
Road/Oakville Grade then south on Highway 29 through Yountville to Napa. The best
part about this route is when you reach the top of the Oakville Grade via the
very windy Trinity Road and see the entire Napa Valley spread out before you.
